Guesthouse Koyui (hereinafter “the Company”) hereby establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter “this Policy”) concerning the handling of users’ personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (hereinafter “the Service”), as follows.
Article 1 (“Personal Information”)
“Personal information” means information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained therein, as well as data concerning appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, health insurance certificate numbers, and other information that alone can identify a specific individual, in accordance with the definition set forth in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

The Company may also collect, from business partners (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, hereinafter “Partners”), transaction records or payment-related information that include users’ personal information arising from transactions between users and such Partners.
Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The Company will collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the following cases are not considered “provision to third parties”:

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company will promptly disclose it. However, the Company may refuse to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure would fall under any of the following, and if it decides not to disclose, it will promptly notify the individual of such decision. A fee of JPY 1,000 per request will be charged for disclosure:

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If a user’s personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion (“correction, etc.”) through procedures prescribed by the Company.

If the Company deems it necessary to comply with such a request, it will promptly carry out the correction, etc.

When the Company carries out or refuses to carry out such a request, it will promptly notify the user of its decision.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, Etc.)

If a user requests suspension of use or erasure of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or was obtained by wrongful means, the Company will promptly investigate.

If the Company determines that the request should be honored, it will promptly suspend use or erase the information.

Article 9 (Changes to This Privacy Policy)
The Company may change this Policy without notifying users, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations. Unless the Company specifies otherwise, the revised Policy will become effective when posted on this website.
